Hey, Hey! I know I’ve been MIA but today I’m checking in with a little update.
As you know, we sold our house and move day was a total success!
Bad news, we’re officially “HOME”less (and no, not the live on the streets type-of-homeless).
Our 30 day closing left us with little time to find a new place. Luckily our family has graciously taken us in for our transition period.
The search for a new home still continues. We’ve been looking for minor fixer uppers. We’ve come across some awesome properties with lots of potential, however, we seem to find ourselves head-to-head in bidding wars with contractors!? Entering the real estate market for the third time, this is definitely our toughest find yet.
The search remains strong and I’m constantly reminding my inner control freak to enjoy this unfamiliar path of the “unknown”. It’s sad to say but I’m usually that person who has their next move planned out, equipped with a Plan B and all.
With no new home in sight, I’m really teaching myself to trust the process and go with the flow. In the end, it always works out!
Enjoy the journey. That’s what it’s all about.

Oh boy – can I ever relate to learning to trust the process! Life does have a way of working out, and often it’s way better than you ever envisioned – so here’s to life working out beyond ‘better’ and to trusting the process! I can’t wait to see what happens next – good for you!!!
I couldn’t agree more Sheila! Thanks for the kind words 🙂
I agree, things do always work out. Well good luck to you.
Thanks Lisa!
Congrats on selling the house. I am a person that also likes a to a have a Plan B and C, so I know how that feels. Relax everything is going to work out for the best 🙂
I’ve had to move a couple times without the next place being ready. I moved from Hawaii to CA and at the airport baggage claim was still calling around trying to figure out where to have the taxi take me to stay even that night. It can be stressful, but as long as you’re enjoying the process, you’ll wind up someplace perfect.
That’s definitely a gutsy move! Good for you 🙂 Hope everything worked out just the way you wanted it.
Moving can be both exciting and rough. Good luck to you on your journey!
Moving can be so nervous! I always have a stress level so high that one mess up and my top blows!
LOL Teresa! That give me a good laugh, I sometimes feel like that! Thanks for stopping by.
Good luck with your search Sabrina! And enjoy the ‘voyage’!
I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. Good luck on the move!
Good luck, I hope you are able to find something soon. Until then, enjoy this little adventure!
Moving is one of the most tragic experiences that we inflict on ourselves lol I think only childbirth ranks higher. Congrats on selling your house. Especially with how the economy is for most people.
Good luck on finding a new abode. Thank God for friends and family 🙂
I can TOTALLY relate to your feelings about moving. You are right: trust the process and it will work out. Keep the Faith and surround yourself with good people to help you along the way. Can’t wait to see what you will end up choosing! Keep us posted 🙂
This is one of my fears about selling our house. It’s so hard to time it but good luck finding the perfect place!
It’s definitely a big risk but one that always pays off in the end! Thanks for stopping by Regan!
I hope that you find a new home soon, for the time being let’s hope you enjoy this time and appreciate it as time that’s mortgage-free and fun!
Hi Sabrina, I know you wrote this a while ago, so I hope your process is going well. It has definitely been a challenge for me. I still haven’t found the right home. I can say that I could probably tell you what every home in this area sold for. Ha! Like I say every week, maybe this week.
