Whether you’ve just moved or you’re looking for a quick way to brighten those walls up, here are some tricks of the trade to help you get started.

1. Plates

Plates are not just limited to the dining room anymore.  Make your decorative plates stand out by showcasing your beautiful collection on the wall.  Don’t have any of your own?  That easy! Visit your local thrift store or flea market for some awesome finds. The best part about it, nothing needs to match!

2. Chalk Board Paint

This inexpensive and easy project can make a bold statement on any wall!  Not only is it a great way to keep yourself organized but it’s a fantastic way to showcase your creativity.  Keep your inner child alive and have fun switching it up as you please.

3. Painted Chair Rail

Looking for an inexpensive chair rail? Take the modern approach! Replace the traditional fancy crown molding with just ordinary paint. Create the effect of a chair rail around your room with contrasting colours and patterns.

4. Magnetic Paint

Don’t just limit magnets to your refrigerators, now you can designate a wall! This conversational piece will sure be a hit with both the kids and adults.

5. Frames

Whether you have mismatched frames or identical frames, create a wall like no other!  Use art work to display multiple colours & patterns or keep it all consistent for an elegant look.  Be your own artist!
