Guess what!
I finally have an update to share with you.
After a gruesome battle in the real estate market, I can happily say we purchased a home! If you’ve been following along, we sold our house back in late July. Since then we have been frantically searching for a new one. . . and holy sh%t, it officially happened!
Here in the Greater Toronto Area, it’s a sellers market. It’s definitely easy to sell your house but brutally hard to find one (especially if don’t have a gazillion dollars to spend).
It felt like every potential home we liked, six other couples were waiting in line for the same one too. We endured a constant battle of bidding wars, where in the end the most aggressive ones always succeeded.
Despite our disappointment of looking for months and not getting anywhere, our patience eventually paid off. We will have a new place to call home in one month. It’s a minor fixer upper.
We have updating to do in the house but nothing a little TLC can’t fix. Here’s a sneak peak of the home’s current state. . .
We’re so eager and excited to get started.
So buckle up, Pink Little Notebook, will be bursting with a plethora of new and exciting before + after projects once again!

Bidding wars are the worst! Its so hard when you find a house you LOVE only to lose it because you won’t spend 50 000 over asking! i’m so happy to hear you found one and I wish you all the best!

Way to hang in there! I also will stick it out and wait for something that I really love, especially with big purchases like real estate! I love your new home, very well decorated also!
Congratulations on the purchase of your new home. All the new projects should be a lot of fun.
How exciting for you–congrats! The outside is absolutely gorgeous. My fiance and I are just beginning to save up for a house, so hopefully a home of our own is in the semi-near future!
