An array of top antique dealers, live entertainment and tractor rides to Pioneer Heritage Museum are just some of the great things that Milton Antique Expo had to offer. I had the chance last Saturday to check it out with my wonderful “non-vintage savvy” mother (if you didn’t catch our last antique outing together, you might want to right here).
A few weeks ago, I got a lovely email from Wendy at Gadsden’s Promotions introducing herself and her upcoming show, the Milton Antique Expo. I was quite intrigued to learn that she was actually one of the founders of the Christie Antique show back in 1988, Canada’s first outdoor show of its kind. Although they sold Christie back in 2010, today Wendy still continues to host an number of antique shows all year round throughout the Ontario region.
We arrived at Country Heritage Park promptly at 9:30 a.m. We were greeted by friendly parking attendants directing cars into a very organized parking lot. My mother was out of the car before me and ready to start. We walked to the entrance and $10 later, we were in!
As we approached the aisles, we started at one end and made our way around. I didn’t want to miss a thing! The Milton Antique Expo is kept to a smaller size to showcase only the top-notch dealers out there.
It was such a great atmosphere. The live entertainment echoed in the background as you walked around. The smell of the apple fritter booth soaked the surrounding air making your mouth water with every inhale. And the best part, there were actually really awesome antiques on display!
This expo exceeded my expectations and I definitely can’t wait to visit again. Oh one more thing, if anyone is a huge history geek like myself and is excited by the thought of a Pioneer village, you’re going to love the on-site Pioneer Heritage Museum that was included in the admission.
By the end, I was literally pulled out by my mother. How embarrassing right?! It might have had something to do with the fact that I stopped in every site and spoke to every dressed up staff member I could (sorry mom) but overall I had a blast. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I really feel like I’m learning more about the antiquing world and why people love it so much.

I saw a promo for this. I forgot about this. I missed this. And seeing your post and hearing how good it was, I’m bummed. Somehow must remember for next year…
Did you or your Mom end up getting anything for yourselves?
Hi Julia! I didn’t end up getting anything major (just a wired basket). I was looking for a few vintage furniture pieces for the house. Didn’t find the size I was looking for. I believe there is another antique show in November at Oakville cultural centre.
