HelloOo and happy Tuesday! I know this post is out of the ordinary considering I’m only a “Thursday blogger” but what the heck…here’s to trying something new! That’s right, I’m starting Trending Tuesdays! What does this mean?! Well, two things, of course. ONE: I’ll keep you up-to-date with the most talked about design trends every Tuesday and TWO: you’ll hear from me more often! (hehe).
Let’s kick it off shall we?!

For my first Trending Tuesday post, let’s talk about tubs in showers. I recently came across this and I think it’s a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y brilliant. It’s totally unexpected and definitely an uncommon sight for a bathroom. I couldn’t love it more!! This may not be the dream bathroom for every homeowner but this splash all-you-want environment is certainly showing up more and more around the world and in my mind, only a matter of time before it becomes a big design craze in North America.

There maybe pros and cons to having a combined shower and tub area, (and let’s just say I’m blind sided to the fact that this is probably not the most ideal thing to clean) but ladies, can you imagine shaving your legs here?! O.M.G. whether you sit down or perch that leg up to shave, this really does make our lives a whole lot easier. And those with kids, pets (and yes, even the grown ups) wouldn’t it be nice not to worry about all that splashing and the potential water damage it could cause to your floors?!

Yup, if I had the space, I wouldn’t think twice about creating a dream bath like these bad boys!
Hunny? can we move 😉

Sabrina, what is the measurement of the entire shower with tub sitting in it?
I am doing this design in the next few weeks. My contractor is nervous about using a slipper tub because of potential water and mold that could get trapped underneath. He’s recommending a claw foot tub. I prefer a solid body. What do you think?
