My Linen Chest Shopping Haul

By Sabrina @pinklilnotebook · On July 17, 2014

I’m down to the final two weeks before the big move!

If you could see me right now, there’s actually little beads of sweat rolling down my face.  I’m feeling the pressure! And yes the search for a new home still continues.

Somehow, in the midst of this crazy and hectic life I create for myself, I always seem to find the time for a little R&R (or in my world also known as shopping).

Remember that Linen Chest Sale I was talking about a few weeks ago? Did you check it out?!

They had some amazing deals going on! I’m talking sale items on sale again! Who doesn’t love that?

During my visit to the store, I was given a fun little mission by Linen Chest.  They wanted me to share what I can buy with a $100! Let’s take a look at how I did, shall we.

PURCHASE #1 & 2:   Oslo Black 16pc Dinner Set (reg, $69.95 per set)

This is probably my favourite find! Both the hubs and I come from large families and although it’s hard to entertain everyone, it’s even harder to entertain with our 8 piece dinner set. I’ve been on the lookout for years now trying to find the perfect addition to my current black and white striped dinner plates. And let me tell you, as soon as I stepped into Linen Chest, I saw two sets of this polka dot design on sale for $39.96 (each).  I snatched it up instantly!

I seriously can’t wait to mix and match my old with the new.  With these classic patterns, I’m going to have the coolest table set up for the new home 🙂

PURCHASE #3:  Set of 2 Pillow Cases – Egyptian Cotton (reg. $6.95)

In my household, I somehow seem to accumulate more and more pillows on the bed and never enough white pillows cases to cover them all.   For this price, how can I say “no”? I should have bought more for my future pillow additions!

PURCHASE #4:   Set of 2 Tempered Glass Casseroles (reg. $24.95)

Since I’m officially all set with my dinnerware, the next thing I am lacking in the kitchen is casserole dishes. Whether it’s to serve, store, heat or refrigerate my food,  these glass dishes come in pretty handy.  Plus I never have to worry about glass going out of style. These will be around for a long time!

ITEM #5: Serving Dish (Free Gift for spending over $50)

Not a bad way to seal the deal at the end of my shopping trip!

In total I spent $94.77 (before taxes). Woohoo can’t wait to use these items in the new house!

Tell me your shopping story.  What’s the best deal you’ve ever come across?
