Painting is done! Baseboards are secured in place!

It’s week two of ORC. . . and I’m feeling good.

ORCweek2painting_PLN

With all the major construction out of the way, I’m thrilled to jump into the fun part—making these empty rooms feel like home.

This is where I stand with the dining and living room this week  . . .

ORCweek2_PLN

As you can see, I couldn’t wait to put some art on the wall.  These beauties were from my previous home. Can you believe I found 14 framed drawings at a thrift store?! My best find yet!

The table was a Create and Barrel purchase from two years ago. I absolutely adore this piece so everything is pretty much going to be designed around this table.

This old light fixture will be replaced with our new one this weekend!

I even ordered a new thermostat to replace the dated one on the wall.  Sadly, this won’t make it in time for the big reveal.

I’m definitely working on getting new window treatments.  This is where I will be adding in some colour. I just haven’t exactly figured out what I’m going to use yet.

In the living room, we started on the built-in bookshelves. The structure is up and we are starting to cover it in MDF. We also plan to add some wall sconces to the unit.  Just waiting on Big Joe to give us a hand with some electrical work.

I’m sourcing some new rugs for the space + some seating options for the living room.

Last but not least, don’t forget to check out the rest of the participants at ORC!

See ya next week 🙂

Wow, so much progress!! I’m loving that grey! We’re currently knee deep PARA swatches trying to decide on the perfect grey for our bedroom. I’ve reverted to carrying the swatch decks in my purse again. It’s a problem.
I can’t wait to see that built in come together. It’s going to be so cozy!

LOL Tash! I was doing the same for a while too. Luckily for this room, I already had the paint picked out before we ended the blog crew. No overthinking.. I just put it up!
